Aware of the strength that literary art possesses to explain the first and last reasons for living, in this book Vittorio Palmisano retraces traits of his private path and captures various aspects, which he observes in the light of what he calls «the Presence» within a human context increasingly full of a depressive feeling, enclosed in the term «Nothing». Overcoming the emptiness of everyday life with reflections that touch the faith, the relationship of man with nature, the sense of the passage of time and the theories proposed by various religions, it is possible (and the author demonstrates this) to re-read the works of artists and geniuses, and the same human events, with a different vision, transfigured by the «eternal and shining reverberation of transcendentality». The deliberate anachronism of the chapters, which transforms the present time into an absolute time, as well as the arcane recognition of a tradition of millennial customs, which evokes consciences from the world of the dead, making them resurrect and live in the only possible time, grafts into the soil of human thought new modes of interpretation of reality, making the assumptions of the book full of a clarification that, if desired, could be defined “transcendental”».
