114 – Dialogo con Dante

Dante appears to me alive, in his real life. I meet him by the sea, in Hell, in Purgatory and in Paradise, and dialogue with him about his life. He is the writer of humanity, of our anguish, of our disillusionment, of our desires. He completes his initiatory journey for us. His life is the synthesis of the life of all men. His wandering, his pilgrimage, his revolution of writing, launch literature towards worlds that it had never known, and perhaps still has to know, even today. It is the symbolic path of man that crosses his time and all the times of history. My imaginary dialogue wants to make Dante even closer to us, and to those who will come.
